A figura do cientista no Brasil \u00e9 majoritariamente vista como \u201cPessoas inteligentes que fazem coisas \u00fateis \u00e0 humanidade\u201d, com 90% dos brasileiros n\u00e3o se lembrando do nome de algum cientista brasileiro e 88% desconhecendo o nome de alguma institui\u00e7\u00e3o que faz pesquisa no pa\u00eds (CGEE 2019).
