Destined to healthcare professionals who want to encrease\u00a0their\u00a0knowledge in a specific area, with a recycling system, in order to get a specific and defined improvement, destined and applied in a professional job of personal nature or in a university institutional activity.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uspdigital.usp.br\/apolo\/apoListarCursoModalidadeTipo?id_modalidade=7\">Programa de atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nThe <em>Programa de Atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em> aims at developing knowledge or technique in a specific area or discipline and it is designed for the general public, without a minimum education requirement.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uspdigital.usp.br\/apolo\/apoListarCursoModalidadeTipo?id_modalidade=5\">Resid\u00eancia<\/a><\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nThe <em>Resid\u00eancia<\/em>\u00a0aims at deepening scientific knowledge and technical expertise through on-the-job training. The residency in the healthcare field, which was created following the publication of the Law No 11.129, in 2005, is a category of <em>lato sensu\u00a0<\/em>post-graduation course, with a minimum course load\u00a0of 5760 hours, oriented by the principles and guidelines of the <em>Sistema \u00danico de Sa\u00fade (SUS),<\/em>\u00a0based on local and regional needs and realities, and it includes healthcare professions, such as: Biomedicine, Biological Sciences, Physical Education, Nursing, Pharmacy, Phisiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Veterinary Medicine, Nutrition, Odontology, Psicology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Medical Physics.<br \/>\nThe residency can\u00a0be:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uspdigital.usp.br\/apolo\/apoListarCursoModalidadeTipo?id_modalidade=8\"><em><strong>Multiprofissional\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u2013 the program is composed\u00a0by at least three healthcare professions and as a Residency in the Professional Healthcare Field.<br \/>\n<strong><em>Uniprofissional<\/em> <\/strong>\u2013 the program is composed\u00a0by one healthcare profession, according to the Resolution CNRMS No. 02, from 2012.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>IMPORTANT NOTICE:<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em>As of December 2, 2019, a new amendment for the regulation concerning USP extension courses has come into effect, including policies for free of charge courses. <a href=\"https:\/\/prceu.usp.br\/noticia\/nova-resolucao-cocex-no-7897-cursos-de-extensao-universitaria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Learn more<\/a>.<\/em>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Activities that aim at qualifying, developing or improving job specific skills, which sets it apart from the Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Continuada activities by the eminently practical nature developed in its formation programs through on-the-job training.
