Registration is open until April 9th through Sistema Apolo of Culture and Extension from USP.
Through audiovisual communication, this course aims to work with participants about valuing their personal, and family histories. It is looking for an understanding of how the history of places is also constituted by our presence, and participation. And, how family trajectories relate to important historical periods and social phenomena, forming part of the memory of the city and the country, participating in various ways in our material and immaterial heritage. The proposal is based on the assumption that everyone nowadays has a certain level of knowledge of the audiovisual language that was established throughout the 20th century as a hegemonic form of mass communication and is unfolding through the social networks of the digital world.
The course, which will take place between May and June at Casa de Dona Yayá, is aimed at students, residents of the Bela Vista neighborhood, USP employees, and researchers aged 16 and over. No minimum schooling, specific training, or previous audiovisual experience is required.
The lecturer is Eduardo Kishimoto, a screenwriter and director of documentaries, TV series, and films with a degree in Cinema and Video from Escola de Comunicações e Artes from USP.
The full program is available on the website of the Centro de Preservação Cultural (CPC-USP). Registration is free and can be done until April 9 using the online form: encr.pw/cpc-cursos-roteiro
