From March 8, 2023, at 1 p.m., the public will be able to see the free exhibition Uma visão caleidoscópica da PRCEU (A kaleidoscopic view of PRCEU), which will be held at the Espaço USP Integração e Memória (USP Integration and Memory Space), in the Rectory building. The exhibition brings together various panels on ten of the university’s cultural and extension bodies, as well as objects such as a model, music scores, publications and interactive scientific dissemination equipment – a voltaic arc and looping – which give a snapshot of what USP does in this area.

1993 – MOSTRA DE CURTAS (EXHIBITION OF SHORT FILMS)
CINUSP’s first exhibition was the film Pixote and short films, held at the Semana de Arte da Poli (Poli Art Week) in 1993.
These activities are carried out by the various bodies linked to Pró-Reitoria de Cultura e Extensão Universitária (PRCEU) at USP: Biblioteca Brasiliana Guita e José Mindlin (BBM), Centro de Preservação Cultural (CPC) da USP – Casa de Dona Yayá, Cinema da USP (Cinusp), Coral Universidade de São Paulo (Coralusp), Monumento Nacional Ruínas Engenho São Jorge dos Erasmos, Estação Ciência (EC), Centro Maria Antonia, Orquestra Sinfônica da USP (Osusp), Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia (CienTec) da USP and Teatro da USP (Tusp). They focus on the performing arts, cinema, music, plastic arts, cultural and heritage preservation, literature and scientific dissemination.
Organized by PRCEU, the exhibition provides an overview of the range of activities carried out by this pro-rectory, its bodies and programmes. In addition to visiting the exhibition space, visitors will be able to enjoy music and theater performances on March 1, 8, 15 and 22 (Wednesdays), always at 1pm.

In addition to the culture centers, PRCEU also manages extension courses offered to the community in a variety of modalities, from short dissemination courses to multi-professional residencies and specializations, and also manages programs to promote academic initiatives in culture and extension and to support the actions of the university community in society.
Part of the actions that have a strong extensionist connection are developed by institutional programs focused on relations with the internal and external USP community. The topics covered include inclusion, accessibility, diversity, entrepreneurship, the solidarity economy, career choices, admission to USP, encouraging the development of talent, the 60+ public, relations with the community and with minors in vulnerable situations, updating teachers and opening up and presenting USP campuses to the public. The programs linked to these themes are: Giro Cultural USP, Incubadora USP de Cooperativas Populares, Nascente USP, USP e as Profissões, USP 60+, USP Aproxima-Ação and USP Aproxima Escola.
