On Friday, April 14, starting at 7 p.m., the Centro MariAntonia promotes launching the book “A new version of the crime of the little castle on Apa Street”, by Marcus Rogério Oliveira dos Santos, with free admission.
During the launch, there is also the presence of Leda de Castro Kiehl, author of the book “O crime do castelinho, mitos e verdades”, and a member of the Guimarães family.
The crime
Eighty-six years ago, in 1937, a crime took place in Rua Apa, which has never been properly clarified, in which a mother and her two children were found shot dead. Called a castelinho, the property got its name thanks to its French architectural style — even though it wasn’t really a castle.
