The USP Aproxima Escola (USP Approach to the School) program proposes to create links between the University and schools, especially public schools, to enable an effective and productive interaction.
If, on the one hand, the University can contribute with its accumulated knowledge, research, data, metrics, and methodologies, at the same time the teachers of the schools master everyday life, its demands, and practical experiences of successes and failures.
This synergy, mutually profitable, allows USP to get closer to the schools and the reality of Brazilian education as the University opens its doors to teachers and students at the elementary and secondary schools.
Periodically, free courses of extension and several events are also offered to this public, providing the groundwork for certifications or continuing education credits for professionals.
