The MariAntonia Center presents, on October 20th, at 6 pm, the show “Descomvisão”, a meeting between the pianist Vladimir Safatle, professor at USP, and the singer Fabiana, Lian, with free entry.
Safatle and Lian, in 2021, released the single “Estase”. Their meeting began with the album Músicas de Superfície, recorded in 1994, with 10 original compositions for piano and voice, working on the song form based on hybrid references and resizing its expressive possibilities.
Who They Are
Vladimir Safatle
As a composer, he created soundtracks for plays such as Leite Derramado and Caesar. For the latter, he received the Aplauso Award / 2015 for Best Original Soundtrack. From 2011 to 2019 he was a weekly columnist for the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo and constantly appears on television programs, having been a political commentator for Jornal da Cultura for four years. In 2018 he recorded the album Tempo Tátil for the SESC Seal, with songs written by him and the participation of instrumentalists and singers. In 2022, he was a finalist for the Jabuti award in the non-fiction category. In 2019, he released the album Músicas de Superfície in partnership with Fabiana Lian, whose show has already toured the cities of São Paulo (SP), Belo Horizonte (MG) and, more recently, Ouro Preto (MG).
Fabiana Lian
She was a singer in the group Mawaca and worked in electronic music and jazz projects. Since 1995 she has worked as an artistic producer at international shows, having worked with major artists such as Metallica, Madonna and Iron Maiden in Latin America. At the head of his cultural production company, he created and worked on programming editions of Virada Sustentável, in nightclubs, several large productions, in addition to bringing shows by Chrissie Hynde, Ian Mc Culloch, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Television to Brazil. Since 2014, she has been at the helm of On Stage Lab, a Showbusiness and Music Business school that is a reference in the international market and works as a speaker and consultant in the area. In 2019 she released the album Músicas de Superfície in partnership with Vladimir Safatle, whose show has already toured the cities of São Paulo (SP), Belo Horizonte (MG) and, more recently, Ouro Preto (MG). In 2020, with resources from the Aldir Blanc Law, the first edition of the Festival Nosso Palcos was held: a project that promotes the exchange of knowledge, experience and professional training for beginning producers or those in career transition. In 2023 she was Tour Manager of the Concerto for Group and Orchestra tour in honor of Jon Lord and Deep Purple with Bruce Dickinson, in addition to mediating the talk series Pluralidade Inova by On Stage Lab.
